Have you heard about the National Disability Insurance Scheme? Are you already on the road to applying for eligibility or putting together your plan? Perhaps you are not entirely sure what it is all about, but would like to find out more for yourself or a family member or friend.

The NDIS provides reasonable and necessary funding to people with a permanent and significant disability to access the supports and services they need to live and enjoy their life.

It is important to engage and get to know about the NDIS to ensure people with a disability, aged below 65 years, continue to receive the supports and services they need. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and be well informed.

Next week, (Between Monday February 18 and Thursday February 21) residents of the Buloke Shire have a great opportunity to meet with knowledgeable staff, from the National Disability Insurance Agency as well as Intereach, the organisation that will help roll out the scheme locally. These sessions are for anyone at any point along the NDIS journey, or yet to begin, or if you just want to know more or find out what the NDIS is all about – so that’s everyone!

Sessions can be booked through the Eventbrite link , or call Rose Harris at the Buloke Shire on 5478 0114 or 0447 287 846 for assistance with booking or more information.
The community kitchen was installed in December 2019 thank's to the FRRR, Buloke Shire, Megelec Electrical, Hogan's Builders and Hardinghams Plumbing & Electrical. It is been used in conjunction with our Food for Thought Program / Food Bank and working with Haven Homes Safe providing meals to those in need.
